Sync problems - convert from MPG to Divx

Hey all,

Ive tried all these programs to try and convert a large MPG file into something smaller, although it doesnt seem to work quite right.

Ive tried using Gordian Knot, Auto Gordian Knot and Virtuadub. They all produce the same results.

The end result is a small AVI file, although the video and audio are not in synchronisation. The original MPG has the synchronisation fine, its just the conversion to Divx seems to stuff it.

Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong here?

hi, Please update your divx codec to the latest version to have a try! Besides, maybe you can have a try on winavi video converter http://www.winavi.com/video-converter.htm

Use VirtualDubMod to adjust the audio track delay. It's easy, just follow the VirtualDubMod guide (in the Guides section). Remember to interleave every 12 frames (or 500ms).
