MP4 is a container for video codec MPEG4 SP, ASP or AVC with audio codec AAC (LC, HE), not RealVideo with RealAudio (not AAC based).
Sorry.

Sirber is right: transmuxing to MPEG-4 (packing RV+RA in MP4 container) is not possible. However, transcoding should work fine, if you install realmediasplitter, and find an MPEG-4 encoder that accepts Avisynth scripts as input.

However, you will loose quality by recompressing from a lossy format to another one.

Is "transcoding" means "convert"?
Can u give some example of s/w tat can do this task?
I found some s/w tat can output as mp4 format but they could not accept rm as input file.
or can accept rm as input file but cannot output as mp4.

Ivyk: I am afraid you would have to read up on Avisynth and figure out how to use this, along with realmediasplitter. Then your MP4 encoder may be able to read the .avs script (which will then play and look like the RM file), since it basically imports an RM file, while appearing to Windows like an AVI file. Sounds complicated? Just wait until the next episode...

Tats means if I know how to use Avisynth, then I can do any convert using .avs script....
Ok..... I'll go check it out........ :)

means you can use AVISynth to simualte an AVI which reads the RM file and let you use any tool to encode it to MP4.
