Good day guys.

I wanted to ask a silly question because I'm new to the DivX thing.
I have an anime movie in DivX 3 and would like to convert it to MPeg to place on a DVD ( VOB Of course ). I use WinAVI video converter and would like some help or suggestions on the following, please.

When playing the film, fast action scenes ( like a horse galloping or a fight ) at times tend to be blocky. Is there any way or filters ( VirtualDUB or AviSynth ) that can help me get rid of these or at least reduce it so it looks acceptable on a DVD disk.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

install ffdshow (latest build from celtic druid).
turn on the deblocking postprocessing filter on the decoder (both VFW and DS).
see if you like the result.
open the file with winavi converter and re-encode it to DVD format.
