Movie Making

I've been using M/S Movie Maker with some success, but as is with most M/S
products, it falls short. Can anyone recommend a decent program for converting digital camera clips to movies with decent features. It doesn't have to be professional quality and could be "pay-for" for freeware?

There are many "consumer grade" software products that can assist you with DV editing and video production. Most can take you from firewire capture all the way to video disc burning. One that I've played with is Ulead's VideoStudio, its approximately $100 and is available for download with a 30-day trial.
