View Full Version : DvdShrink, creating iso file

I've used DvdShrink for a couple of years but recently lost a hard drive and reinstalled everything. Tried DvdShrink lastnight and noticed that when I am ready to backup the job, the only options I have under Select backup target is Burn with nero or hard disk folder. There isn't an option to create an image file.
Am I losing my mind or is there something I am missing. I've looked through the forums and various guides but can not figure out if I need to install something else...or what's up.
Any ideas?
Edit: Is it as simple as I need to install ImgTool?

Maybe you've installed an old version < 3.1.7 which do not support isos. Since this version Shrink can read and write isos without any other tool being installed.

It's the latest version. Downloaded it and installed it after installing the new drive and getting everything working again. Thanks for the thought though!

Using DVD Shrink v.3.2.0.15, if you want to create and burn the ISO using the setting in Shrink "ISO image file and burn with DVD Decrypter" in Select backup Target, you obviously are going to have to have DVDD installed.
Hope this helps.

Yeah, I understand that. Problem is, the only option available in the dropdown list is either Burn With Nero or Hard Disk Folder. There used to be an option for Image File (not sure of exact wording).
In the past I would create the ISO to a specific file, check it with daemone tools and then burn it.
Yes, DVDDecrypter is installed as that is what I ripped the DVD with before using DVDShrink.

Ok, now that I feel like an ass, I should at least explain....following is what I see:

Apparently, the WindowBlind Theme that I was using, was hiding the actually buttons....
Nothings wrong with DVDShrink. Just me.
Thanks everyone!

Glad your problem is solved.
Also, it is nice of you to let us know where the problem was.... between the chair and keyboard. :) :D ;)

Quite pointless also as it's already been determined that Windows blinds caused the problem so that when switched off DVD Shrink's built-in routine for creating ISOs can be used and there's NO NEED for any commercial crap.
