DVD-RB Pro v1.00 RC2
EclPro v0.40 beta

When using the CCE & Procoder config utility to use ProCoder 1.50.22.0 I get the following error message after I select my choices at the Select Components and click Install in the subsequent screen:

Error creating INI entry in file "C:\Program Files\DVD-RB Pro\EclPRO\EclPRO.ini"
Click Retry to try again, Ignore to proceed anyway, or Abort to cancel installation.

Clicking Retry doesn't do anything (stays at the same screen). Clicking Ignore continues the install but the progress bar at the bottom seems to indicate that the install isn't complete. Of course, Abort just aborts the install.

I initially ran EclPro to manually configure the settings for ProCoder--this went fine. Now when I run EclPro again it asks me if I want to load an Ecl file. :confused:

Here are the contents of my EclPro.ini file:

--------------------------------
[Options]
Delay=0
Pause=10
Priority=0
Minimize=1
NoPathWarn=0
Procoder=C:\Program Files\Canopus\ProCoder\Procoder.exe
[Quality]
Quality=4
AlwaysGOP15=0
AutoParameters=1
[Debug]
StrictGOPBrateControl=0
Legacy=0
[Temp]
Filename=
--------------------------------

Does this look ok? Why the error?

EclPRO is configurated succesfully.
Now you have to select in DVD-RB -> Options -> Setup the path to EclPRO.
Then you have to select in DVD-RB -> Mode -> ProCoder (EclPRO) mode.

That's odd... nobody ever reported that to me :confused:

I don't have ProCoder :(

@Robot1
Is it possible that you run a few tests on the Config utility? Thanks

I replicated the error several times just to make sure it was not some intermittent problem, and I even did clean installs of both ProCoder 1.5 & DVD-RB Pro RC2 a few times. The error only happens when selecting Procoder. Selecting CCE presents no problem.

Despite the error, Procoder does work correctly just by selecting it from the Mode menu, so apparently the error doesn't appear to cause any problems. After this I run EclPro.exe to manually configure Procoder.

I did a printscreen of the error, but how would I send it from my local PC? (I don't have a url I can use as a source).

I don't use ProCoder 1.5 much since it's been superseded in quality by the newer 2.x version and by HCenc. I keep it around for interlaced material. Primarily I use the CCE SP 2.70 Trial version. I may look into CCE Basic depending on my experience with SP and its feature set.

P.S. Whether I used the Config Utility or not, DVD-RB automatically sets the correct path for EclPro in Setup, so I don't have to worry about that step.
