Publisher's description:
The program allows you to recompress your AVI files. The application supports not only the files containing audio streams but AVIs without any audio as well. For the time being the program uses only XviD codec to recompression process (versions: 1.0.3 or newer).

The installation pack contains all required components (the newest versions of: VirtualDubMod, AviSynth and XviD). AVI ReComp can be very useful for users who want to clear their AVIs out of GMC or Qpel functions to prepare the clips for standalone DVD players. The applications supports AVIs with the following audio formats: mp3, wav, ac3, ogg. Supported subtitle formats: txt, sub, srt, ass, ssa. AVI ReComp includes multilingual interface (for the time being: English and Polish). In the future the author intends to create many new and very useful features.

All these new features will be helpful and are in demand from many ppl (as I have seen in numerous forums). So please incorporate in your next releases (if you feel they are required).

- Removal of rainbow, noise and other artifacts, very common in a bad encode.

- Change of Video AR from its original source(can be standard DVD AR's and not custom). Standards for playback under 4:3 and 16:9.

-Conversion from/to PAL/NTSC.

- Compression based on Quality(HQ, MQ, LQ) and not size.

- Ability to Join/Split two or more files with subtitles.

EDIT: Another very useful one would be if separate extracted streams of Video(.mpv) and audio(.mpa) can be done, since they will be really useful to convert these avi's into DVD using a DVD author program.

Hi techmule ! :)
Thx for your message and all the proposals.
I can promise I will create much more useful functions (resampling and cropping video frame, audio conversion, internal player, removing permanent subs from AVI clips and many more). I almost have ready units and procedures for implementing new options and I'm still working on them.

Cheers,
Prozac

Where's the sourcecode?

Why is Trellis not used anymore?

Sources, and all development informations will be available soon.
I will let you know. Just working on it. ARC is written in Delphi so I have to prepare and compile all used components and write some additional comments.

In my opinion Trellis is not stable enough. It works better than in 1.1.0 beta1 but I'm still very cautious of using it. Sometimes it still produces some quantization cracking.
