Hi all.
Well, I'll give a little history before the question.
I made a movie. The editor edited it and burned a DVD. It was a rough draft. The computer hard drive crashed so the 'edit in process' version was lost and all we have now is the DVD.
I made a .d2v project with Gordian Knot and got an AVS file I used in VirtualDubMod to make an AVI out of the footage so I could import it back into Adobe Premiere. The AVI and (AC3 or MP3) both work fine when I pull in the video to Premiere and play it front to back. Now, if I jump to a spot in the editor rather than playing it straight through, the audio and video don't synch up.
My idea (correct me if I'm wrong) is to remux the ac3 and AVI into one file.
What program should I use for this? Also, did I mess up my original process for getting the AVI? All the options I used in GKnot and VDubMod never asked if I wanted to remux....
Possible problems... I deinterlaced in VDubMod so I am concerned that this may be a problem when muxing due to the frames lost in deinterlacing (if this actually occurs).
Thanks everyone.
PB
