So, Iīve got this WMV-HD DVD (encoded at 1280x720p with WMAPro 5.1@440kbit) that I would like to reencode to XviD with AC3 Sound. I did the following in Order to achive my Goal:
1. I demuxed the WMV-HD to .WMV and .WMA Files with M$ Stream Editor.
2. I encoded the Video-Stream with the Help of VirtualDub and Avisynth to XviD (1-Pass, Quantizer ~ 3.5). Came out with 3GB and looks fantastic ;)
3. Coverted the WMA File with the help of foobar to 5.1 Wave-File. Used BeSweet to split up the Wave-file to 6 Mono Channels and encoded this to 5.1 AC3 @448kbit. So far everything went nice...
4. Multiplexed both Streams to .avi with VirtualDub and the XviD Files becomes totaly async. It getīs worse the longer the Movie is played. Tried offsets different offsetīs for the Soundtrack. Nothing seems to solve my Problem.
Anyone got an Idea if thereīs a Tool that shows if thereīs an Offset for the Soundtrack in wmv? I donīt remember that thereīs an Option for Audio Offset in Windows Media Encoder...
