Question about half D1 and a suggestion

Hi!

Using 1.00 RC1 I ran into one question about half D1. When I use Half D1 from the avs options because I do not want all extras in half D1, do the parts with half D1 get half bitrate as I want it to? Or do they only get half bitrate if the half d1 for extras options is selected?

Suggestion:
The new interface is great. It would be great if the preview window is bigger to see if the video is interlaced and it would be useful if you could select the avs options via rightclick menu in the preview window.

if you choose half d1 and half space for extras, it gets applied to all of them.

if you select half d1 for a titleset in the avs options then it is just that, half d1, no space change

When you select Half-D1 from the Advanced AVS Options -- it is resized, but no adjustment is made to the bitrate. It was mainly added to get better quality on sections that already have a bitrate that is too low for Full D1.

The preview window is meant just to give you an idea as to which segment of video you are working... it is by no stretch of the imagination a player. Combing effects, etc. wouldn't represent the actual output -- because it is only playing back from the source. In fact right now it is also only playing back half the scan lines.

I'll just throw in that you can get the effect you want using RB-Opt (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=75202) to manually lower the bitrate of the VTS you resized in avs options.
