WMV to DVD

hello, i'd like to know the simplest way to make an hour and 40 minute WMV into a dvd that will work on a standard player. can any of you point me in the right direction? much appreciated.

tmpgenc should do this with not much knowledge needed

i've tried but it just makes one 4 gig+ file that when burned won't play in a dvd player. i need a program that makes the proper VOB files. if tmpgenc does that, how do i go about it? cause i can't figure it out after trying for quite a while =/

As a rule you will need to take the converted video file and use a program that burns a DVD, such as Roxio DVD Builder. Even if you had a program that made all the files ready to burn, you may still have compatibility problems if you just take them and burn them to a data DVD.

Also, some DVD players don't support DVD-R.
