I saw this thread that said Nero Digital Pro will be released in July Here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=96538)

Which said that:
On that note, Nero said it will not be passing the costs to consumers who buy the full version of the program, Nero Digital Pro, which is set for release in July. In addition to the ability to use to program to recode DVDs, watch them and share them over a home network, the Pro version also will contain Nero Vision Express video-editing software and PhotoSnap, Nero's photo-editing program.

Is the next release of Recode scheduled for July? If so, will that release include SMP support?

I noticed updated of Nero today (http://www.nero.com/en/nero-up.php)
Recode also updated to v2.2.6.17 as shown here http://www.nero.com/en/prog_versions.php. Details about the updates are not released yet.

downloads slow as hell once again. I really wish Nero would make torrents available of new updates as it would help get packages to people quicker. Hopefully someone will torrent them as soon as they download it.

Does anybody know if this release has SMP support for Recode?

I'd love to put my new Pentium D to good use... :cool:

Thats because the beta testing isnt over yet. Heck, we arent even off beta 1 yet.

@ DVD_MANIAC: Even the current NERO RECODE supports multiprocessr system as it WAS ALREADY STATED in a previous tread and AS I REMEMBERED YOU in another one. AND if you searched or looked at the ATEME beta threads you would have noticed the new encoder sussports multi processor systems too...

@berrinam: seems Nero Digital PRO will contain HP encoder. IIRC it is scheduled by the end of july, but i could be wrong.

I have three systems, 2 with HT enabled P4s and one Dual Core Pentium D.

I have Recode version 2.2.6.16 on all machines and I only ever get around 50% cpu utilization. If Nero IS ALREADY SMP enabled, then why does it not reach higher CPU usage on any of my 3 PCs?

THIS IS !!!NOT!!! THE SAME QUESTION. I know I have asked (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=95851) if the Beta version they are working on will be SMP ready. and then asked if that will include all profiles in Recode (In my ignorance, I didn't realize that the HP encoder in Beta will optimize all profiles)

My latest question is the July release which is probably the one released the other day. Since the Beta is not over I do not know whether the SMP optimization made it in to this one. I guess I should have just waited for Nero to release the changelog... I am definitely guilty of that.

But my QUESTION was not the same.

P.S. If my posts bother you so much then either ignore them or report me for a rule violation. But PLEASE stop trying to make me look stupid by saying I am asking the same question!!!

may I use this thread for a question that somehow fits in here? I couldn't find an answer anywhere...

Will Ateme offer its AVC encoder as a CLI utility publicly? I mean not just in beta tests or as a part of Nero Recode...

Probably not as the ateme encoder is part of the Nero recode suite so it's not a standalone except in beta's. If it was provideable in CLI form then it would be freely distributeable to the general public and nero wouldn't make any money off of recode.
