Hi all,

I have a collection of DVD's ripped to my HD with DVDShrink. Can you tell me how I can use DVD-Decrypter and AUTOGK on these files to produce my avi's... ?

I can;t seem to find an option in DVDDecrypter to allow me to point it at the HD rather than the DVD Drive....

Sorry if this is a silly question.....

Also my Xvid avi's rip well but the sound (using AC3) is really quiet. Is there a way for me to increase the volume...

Hello, and welcome to the forum.

DVD Decrypter requires a DVD drive (or a virtual DVD drive through a facility such as Daemon Tools).

You have several choices, as I see it: Use your source discs
If you have .iso images, use a virtual DVD drive
You could use VStrip/VStripGUI -- see http://www.doom9.org/vstrip.htm -- to rip and IFO-parse a VOB set on hard disk.
use Vstrip with GK or another encoding suite or toolset, rather than AutoGKI recommend option a, it is the simplest and easiest solution. Warning: If you no longer have your source discs, then the other options would not be considered Fair Use -- see http://www.doom9.org/disclaimer.htm under Piracy and Copyright if you need clarification of our Fair Use policies.

If you select option c, be aware that AGK needs a Stream Information file, you would have to manually edit one previously produced by DVD Decrypter in order to use VStrip with AGK.
