Hi pals,
-It seems that Nero Video Decoder (NeVideo.ax) has cause conflict with DVD Playback (DirectShow) filters. Whenever I tried to play DVD in WMPlayer, I keep getting error & then I have to push "Close" button. This started to happen when I installed Nero 6 OEM (bundled with CDRW drive) & I have updated it to latest version from Nero website. :(
-I'm able to resolve this error by unregistering (REGSVR32 /U) or renaming/moving this file (NeVideo.ax). Any other way to correct this without using previously mentioned actions?
-Installed codecs : (1)ffdshow-20050619 (2)XviD 1.1 beta-2 (3)Fraunhofer DVD Codec (from Net).
Regards,
-Musafir_86.
P/S : Also it seems that NeVideo.ax can decode almost everything MPEG (like ffdshow) including DivX3, provided that you have proper license (Full/Ultra, not OEM). I wonder does this violate any patents (for DivX3/MSMPEG4v3 decoding) or do they pay royalties to M$? :sly:
