Im trying to encode invader zim vol 2 Disc 4. my output keeps comming out oversized 4.43GB. at first i just installed v.1.00 RC1 over 93.2 and i thought maybe that was the issue, but i did a clean install of RC1 and it still is oversizing. The only options im using are:
iDCT: 32 bit Simple MMX (XVID)
HC Options: Best
DC Precision: 10 Bit Precision
Steal space from extras: 10%
and one click mode.

i've done it with all the options set to default and had a file around 4.41GB i think it was.

we watch the zim dvd's religiously in my house, so i would like to keep my investment safe. ^_^

Try setting the DC Precision lower or on auto. I think the bitrate is too low for 10 (if I understand it correctly). Also, stealing space for a .7 gain will probably make the extras look really bad and have very little or no visual difference on the main episode vts so if you want more space just remove the extras. Also, the different idct settings can affect the accuracy of the size from what I understand.

Are the .m2v files in the d2vavs folder playable, or is there an error?

the .m2v's are playable. i tried it with all the settings default and it was still oversized. i'll go through and do a clean install and use default settings to see what it gets me.

I just did an ILVU that came out oversized also, so it might have to do with rebuilder.

i just did it again, and it came out oversized again. i completely uninstalled everything and re-installed rebuilder, i also used only the default setttings. i will try it tonite when i get home from work and skool, with cce basic.

Try lowering the TargetSize setting in the Rebuilder.ini file
If it is complete clean installation, it should not been there, so RB uses its default of 2236000.
But you can try setting it to a lower value. (look at the sticky "RB setting" thread at the top of this forum, search for "Hidden settings".
Also can just try procesing your ouutput with Shrink, compressing just the titles
