View Full Version : Audio Video Sync Problem

I an using Cyberlink's Power Director 3 software for my movie editing. I captured the media from my MiniDV source and edited it as a project with PowerDirector. Everything looks great at that point. When I use the 'produce' function to compile it into a mpg file ready to be burnt onto DVD, the audio and video slips somehow a bit out of sync. I have tried various options and compression rates, but no luck. The Cyberlink tech support was also less that helpful, as their recommenation was to shut down all other programs and to adjust the display setting on my monitor (??!!).
Does anyone out there have a helpful thought for a frustrated DVD newbie like me?

hi myeviltwin and welcome to the forum!

well, based on their sub-standard tech support, i wouldnt be thinking very highly of their software

unfortuantely i havent had any experience with this program, so i am not 100% positive what could be causing this.

a couple of questions though:

1. is this a NTSC or PAL title?
2. does the audio go increasingly out of synch, or is the de-synch constant?
3. does the software give you any other output options after editing? ie .mpv/.m2v (video), and .ac3 audio?
4. what are you using to test the compiled project in? - software or standalone player?

maybe some additional info could jog someones memory on a potential fix, or we could try alternative software to achieve your goal.

cheers
