Renderless support will be improved in the next open beta as GUI elements start to get implemented, starting with blanking support.

Changes from v4.50rc2:

* Ctrl+C now copies the content of a Red error message to the clipboard.

* New Comm API messages (1020,1021) indicating Fast Forward
and Rewind states.

* New Customized Media Playback profiles for LPCM MPEG Audio.

+ The "External" tab on the Advanced Options page has been updated to
support the latest version of the WinDVD Decoder.

- Loading ASX Playlists would only add the first file in the list.

- The default web navigator file setting was not being saved properly.

- The Internal Screen Saver will now cover the entire screen area and
not just the screen area active by the current Aspect Ratio (navigator
interfaces were not hidden by the screen saver). Also, file names
appearing in the screen saver can now contain unicode characters.

- Setting the Player Thread Priority would not have an effect until
the player was restarted. Now the effect is instant.

- When specifting a default file navigator starting path, the starting
file index was not always correct.

- When set to only show an icon on the system-tray, a task bar button
could have appeared when double-clicking on a media file from an
external program (such as explorer).

- Loading GraphEdit ".GRF" files will no longer throw an error when
Customized Media Playback mode is enabled.

- The DVD Title on the skin was not center-aligned.

You see Blight, Zoom Player is great indeed (specially its infinite options on Advanced mode :)). But, I don't know if it is proper, there is one thing I would like to ask for ZP.

You see, one of the things that actually hooked me to Media Player Classic was its internal filters, more specifically, the containers parsers. I wouldn't mind installing the codec filters (I use ffdshow that decodes most of them) but installing thousands of them, plus a lot more parsers is a little annoying. MPC internal filters allow me to see those videos that come in a rare container or a rare format without having to install anything.

So my point is, couldn't you include some filters to Zoom Player and let the user choose whether he wants to use the internal ones or the "external" ones? Something like Media Player Classic does today? You see, it is very practical to just run that video on a rare format without having to install anything.

I don't know if that is possible, but it would make Zoom Player even better IMHO. ;)

IIRC Blight don't like the big size if all filters are inside ZP, to be up to date with all filters is also critical. But ask him at his ZP support forum to get fast response:

Under options/formats/missing formats, there are listed all missing codecs which are important (and if you don't use some formats, don't install them).

If you don't know where to find the missing filters, Blight made a good site (4 pages) for download and configuration. All filters there are provided with an installer (no need to register manually).

Under options/formats/missing formats, there are listed all missing codecs which are important (and if you don't use some formats, don't install them).
But that's the point. I don't. But I can't control the videos I get on exotic formats. I don't want to install a filter just for that specific video; and MPC makes it easier. That's all. :)

I understand your opinion very well...

I installed all mentioned filters in ZP (options/formats/missing formats), I also use ffdshow for most MPEG4 stuff.
Further i installed Haali's splitter for MP4/MKV,
Quicktime/Real Alternatives

Besides, nearly all filters from MPC can be installed for every other DS Player like for ZP:

If you install all these filters, you have ZP with all filters which are used by MPC but the advantage of all ZP features.

But indeed, as you said, it needs some minutes, from this point of view you are right.

I had a killer audio filter problem recently, where only he first stream played until I uninstalled everything, swapped all the splitters, and used only ffdshow audio, so I can understand the sentiment. But still, the only thing I wish ZP had is detection of stream name/language, because it seems most filters don't report it (and it's so fun seeing audio stream 1, 2, etc). And maybe a language autoselector option. Not that big a deal though, esp. since haali's mkv will do the latter.

If you have installed a lot of different filters for the same format (or a codec pack), it can mess up your system.
I use Zoomplayer Pro, where "Customized Media Playback" can handle this common problem perfectly, I can select which source filter/splitter/decoder should be active for every format. So ZP organizes the filter setup very well without changing the Merrit values.

If there's no stream title, no player can smell which language is used.
Language autoselector is only in ZP Professional and works well.

Because of your mentioned arguments and requests I bought ZP Pro to get rid of these soul-destroying problems.
