Hi, i've tried encoding 2 movies, and both gived me undersize problem. One was 3.13 gb and the last one was 2 gb...

This only happened when i was encoding movie from Quebec... I know that they have a werid encoding in my province when they do encoding... Both movie from quebec were undersize, which was not the case with american movies...

What must I post to get an anwser? Ini file?

Thx

All right

I'm using CCE SP v2.67.00.27, there was no large track, only a 5.1 (which i kept) and a stereo (2 channel) Both were 293 and 252 respectively. I don't know how to check for ILVU though, but i'm sure taht my previous movie was not and pretty sure this is one is not either.

I'm using v.0.93.2 Pro. I've post the ini file.

Thx

I also want to point out the very slow encoding time... Usually, it takes between 130 and 160 minutes to encode a DVD, never something under 70 minutes!

And that's my configuration file. Any body got a clue? i've tooked the original and did no modification

no way you did that that fast.. did you look at the video?

Just did, and find out something really weird. I've got the red bar issue at the bottom... I did installed properly and i double check to see if DGDecode was in the rebuilder directory and it's there...

Now, i'm very confused... I though this issue was only a problem regarding the decoder.

Suggestion? I've done 3 dvd's without problem though before. I did not check if it was red bar in the first undersized one, but in this case, it's definitely red bar

I actually have a suggestion for you. Remove everything you have. Install newest version Rockas style. Go to start menu, DVD-RB directory, Extras, and open the CCE and Procoder configuration. Follow everything and select CCE SP 2.67 from the wizard, Retail or Trial, whichever you have. It almost seems like you have CCE and HC both enabled in different areas. I would just do the CCE setup with Rockas conffiguration wizard.

This should work, I was getting major size problems before I did the Rockas installation. Hope it works!

If you get distorted / weird video make sure you are using avisynth 2.55 (not the beta) and the dgdecode that comes with the program.

I will try reinstalling it... I've already did that with rockas original, perhaps some file got overwrited or something...

Just want to know if some dvd from certain place may be a problem for dvd-rb?
I remember when i was doing divx of those quebec movie, and it was a pain in the a**. Is it possible that deinterlacing it with decomb may cause a problem?

I had a similar problem. I had CCE 2.67 and did numerous movies with no issues at all, and then decided to try CCE version 2.70.
Thats when the problems started. I ran into issues, and then reinstalled CCE 2.67. From that point on, DVD's would rebuild at only 2gb and 1/4 the time it normally took. Then when I tried to view the movie I got that red bar at the bottom. I tried everything I could think of, even going through the registry and deleting all references to CCE that I could find, but I must have missed some because the problem remained. So, I reformatted my hard drive and reisntalled eveything and the problem is gone.

2 things I learned:

1. Stay with CCE 2.67 and if it aint broke don't fix it.
2. From now on have a back-up image of my freshly installed OS with all my apps installed!

Is it possible that deinterlacing it with decomb may cause a problem?

I really do not know, but in general jdobbs discourage deinterlacing, so I would try processing those DVDs w/o it.

And YES, weird DVD authoring can cause RB problems. In general jdobbs will try to understand what is the problem and solve it. But sometimes it is difficullt for him to find what the problem is when he does not have access to that particular title.
