Hi Guys
Just did a batch job (v1.00 RC1) and now I get this error message when it starts to rebuild:
Error message: The Source path does not match the one used during PREPARE?
I have used the same libary dir as the source and target because DVD Rebuilder makes a dir with the "D2AVS" and a dir for the video so I didnt think this would give me problems.
What do I need to edit so I dont have to re-encode the whole movie?
Cheers
:stupid:

Same problem here, I did a backup using the 1 click method & nobody has touched the cpu since it began (I'm using 'Output directory').
Where does RB read where source & destination folders are?
Tnx
Pic 1 is when I hit Rebuild, pic 2 is when I hit preview/Edit

You can see the paths to the folders on Rebuilder.ini file but I think you can re-select them using Rebuilder... as long as you're not loading a project file... if this is your case just edit the .rbd file (project file) and check the paths.

I got the mismatch on IROBOT as well.....

I think you can re-select them using RebuilderTried that already, same error. The paths are correct, I'm sure of that.
The encoding process took 10 hours so I really don't want to encode it again :(

I tried anything (I can think of), re-installing RB, using an older version... none work.
I can't figure out why RB keeps saying the source path isn't correct, I checked all files in all folders (the ones I'm using anyway) & all paths are correct.
I even changed my folder names in caps b/c the ini & d2v files have them in caps, no luck :(

That's really odd :(
Are you sure that all definitions stayed the same?
Is your output folder empty?
please... re-check if you are really pointing everything allright... sometimes the hardest things to see are those that stands before our eyes... I'l feeling poethic today :D

I'll look at it -- but almost assuredly the problem is that the source has changed in some way...
DVD-RB needs the source for all three phases... and it has to be the exact same source. So it goes through the source directory and does a checksum of all the file sizes and stores it (as a sector count) in the "Original_Size" variable in REBUILDER.INF.
Each time it starts the ENCODE or REBUILD phase it checks the size of the source against that variable to make sure it hasn't changed. If it doesn't match -- it kicks out this message.
You absolutely CAN'T USE THE SOURCE DIRECTORY AS A WORK OR OUTPUT DIRECTORY.... not sure if all of you are -- but I thought I'd mention it. That has been true on every version of DVD-RB.
If you want to override the message you can always get the size of the source directory, divide it by 2048 and put that value in "Original_Size" -- but I strongly recommend against it, as it is very likely the source directory has changed and your output will fail.
In the next version I will put a check in that prevents selecting the same path for source and work/output.

I used the 1 click mode so nothing changed between prepare & rebuild.
I always use the source folder as working folder, never had any problems before.
Could this be it?
I tried to move the work-folder to another place but then RB wants to start all over.

Not if you change the work folder path to the new location... just make sure you move all the files.... .ecl, .avs, .flg, .inf, .d2v and .ini if you are using HC Encoder... and make sure that the source files are on the first place.

I tried to move the work-folder to another place but then RB wants to start all over. It all depends what goes into the work directory. If you name anything with a "V" as the first character, you'll get sizing errors. You might also get some strange errors when Rebuilder tries to clear them for another job... anyway -- they were never meant to point to the same directory so there's lots of unpredictability involved if they do...

I changed the working path to the new place, anything else I need to change?

You can try to change the value Progress to 2 on the Rebuilder.inf... but you must have messed up the files so I wouldn't give it too much hope :D

Progess is 2 in ini file

I did prepare again & changed progress to 2, then I copied the vaf & m2v files to that dir & the rebuild worked normal.
I checked the ini files of both & they looked exactly the same except for 1 difference; after progress=2 there was a line: encoder progress=128
Could this be the problem?

That would be the number of segments encoded... doe it match to the number of segments you have.
note: with the time you lost with this problem you would have prepared and encoded everything again :D :D :D
As I said... the files must be on a complete mess at this point... don't give it too much hope.

It matched the segments yes.
Encode took more then 10 hours, I was sure nothing changed in between so I had to get it to work :sly:
Burned it already, works like a charm.
Tnx for help!
PS: as I said in previous posts, nothing changed to the files, I used 1 click mode so how could the source dir be different from when RB started? I ran RB & went to sleep so my cpu hasn't been touched during that time.
I knew it should work & I got it to work -> Jippie :D

how could it not change in one-click mode? That's what I first thought the error could be.
Do previous versions of RB don't check the size of the dir?
Anyway, it works :p
PS: I will not use the source dir as working folder anymore!

Hmmm... you may be right. I can't remember when I started that check -- but it was on one of the recent versions.
