Hunt for Red October...

Star Wars (Ep I & II)... haven't even tried 3,4,5 yet.

I'm not having any luck with these movies and getting their subtitles to work right. I'm assuming they are simply getting cut out of the black area's or something. I've tried every possible combination of settings under subtitle, in conjunction withe 'only forced' on and off. ie Many hours of cpu time.

I experimented with the movie Hero and was able to get the subtitles in that movie to work they way I thought they should with no problem. Granted that movie has subtitles on the whole time while these others mentioned above do not.

I'm using AutoGK ver 1.60 if that matters, had bad luck running a newer version (poor video quality for some reason).

Found this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20023&highlight=red+october+forced) that at least mentioned the movies I'm having trouble with, but using different programs than I am.

I've been a lurker around these parts for years on and off, this is definitely the best site of its kind on the web. Pre-Thanks to any advice you ppl have.

This is the search result (http://forum.doom9.org/search.php?searchid=79379) of the keywords Star Wars, in titles only (simple broad search, look up whatever is subtitle related yourself). Have fun reading, as it has generated a lot of questions and problems it seems :)

Hello,

I am kind of new in encoding movies, but I had also the same trouble with the Godfather 1. I tried a lot of combinations, and finally decided to keep the VOB files until something would work. Fortunately, some days ago I installed the last full version and then the beta update of AutoGK, and it worked well (even from the preview!), so I think you should try it..
