Hi All

Firts let me state that I havent tested this on the older version.!!!
So this dosent have to be a v 1.00 RC1 problem maybee its just the movie?
But I doubt this (No remastering! Org DVD).

I use CCE 2.7 & default settings + 4 Pass!

When I use DVDrebuilder on the movie "Open Water" and try to play it afterwards every thing semes fine until I get to chapter 5 the movie plays like a "slideshow" I have checked the bitrate and its a whopping 12,55 Mbps !!!!
And I think that is why it cant play the chapter....

How can this be? Any quick fix where I can limit this wild bitrate? :thanks:

NEW: Just tried to do it with "One Pass VBR analysis" and here it works max bitrate same chapter is 7-8Mbps ?

Cheers

By the way dosent DVD Rebuilder have a "min_bitrate & max_bitrate" value.

So 12 Mbps should be impossible....?

Yes it should be impossible. But you have to be careful because often the reporting software is wrong. For example -- when you playback an NTSC from a 23.976fps source you will often see a reported bitrate that is 25% higher than what is actually on the disc -- because additional frames are generated through telecining after the disc read, but before presentation.

But 12.55 is very high -- even with the 25% scenario the source would be 9.4Mbs, which is very high for the video-only portion.

Look at your ECL file. CCE is responsible for keeping the limites set by DVD-RB. Make sure the values are reasonable.

Very interesting as I was having the exact same slideshow issues with "K:19 Widowmaker" (PAL R4). I'll have to check out the bitrate setting.

Thanks for the info... :D

This would mean that I could manually set the max bitrate for this chapter in the ECL file?

And it wouldnt help to set a max bitrate in the ini file because Rebuilder already have thi in the default right.

FYI: Just did the same job with the old version of DVD-rebuilder its the same must be the movie who F*cks it up.

Just tryed it with "one Pass" mode that worked!!!

So the passes makes the bitrate to high....?
