I get as far as the panel that has the "I do not accept the agreement" - and there is no corresponding radio button for "I accept the agreement"
http://koure.org:800/temp/DVDRB-install-stuck.JPG
I've tried this both with rebuilder.rbk in the same directory and not (pretty sure it isn't the issue but worth a try).
I've tried this with my usual 120dpi (larger than normal) and with 96dpi (windows normal).
The system is
- windows xp sp2
- all updates applied
- athalon 2600+ mobile
- 1G memory
- screen resolution 1600x1200 at 32 bits
- windows firewall OFF
- ZoneAlarmPro firewall ON
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Bob

Just do me a favour... can yu test it using the XP default style?
edit: I don't know why but the "about" button is misplaced!?!?!?

If you click "I do not..." and press up, does the selection disappear and the next button become enabled?

Try this... use the Tab buton until you see the letters behind the About and progress bar are highlighted (you'll be able to see a doted line close to the "c" letter you are seeing between the About button and progress bar) ... then press the space bar.

Try backing off your screen resolution to about 1280x1024 and see if it has an effect.

Can you choose the alt+a shortcut key combination to choose the hidden option until the gui problem is resolved?

You're right... I forgot about that... the short key is "alt+a"
mouses... makes an old guy like me forget that "they exists" (the keyboards) lol

Just do me a favour... can yu test it using the XP default style? The only things I've changed from default are:
- windows background picture
- web page as background OFF (think that might be the default)
- windows 2000 start menu (I'm used to being able to manipulate menu items more directly than the WinXP start menu allows)
- tray unlocked (don't really need protection from myself)
and then, of course, the screen resolution, color depth and font size. I do some photoshop work on this machine, so 1600x1200 with large text is a decent compromise between photo editing and text reading.
BTW, I get the same problem with 1024x768 and 96 dpi (default sized) text.

Have you tested the "Alt+a" shortcut tip?

I just did - and it works fine to get me past that point - and thanks! I probably should have guessed that the invisible choice was Accept.
I do have the same problems with the other display screens (boxes out of place) during install - and once I've gotten to actually running DVDRB I see the same problems with Rebuilder Default and Tek Original (which are the same, right?), but not with the other three skins
http://koure.org:800/temp/DVDRB-default-view.JPG
I assume you're using one of the display-widget packages(?) Want to build a couple of simple test EXEs that might show you what's going on - my thought is that the EXEs might put up dialog boxes and I could snapshot 'em and send the snapshots to you, which might give you a hint about what's up. It seems like the windows location math is off - which probably means you're being fed the wrong data in at least some situations (like on my PC).
Also, if you want me to look at the code I might be able to help - particularly if it's C or C++. No problems signing an NDA (so long as I can discuss things once the subject actually does become public).

This looks like another potential font issue?
I overlayed my dvdrb window against the one posted above, and the text size is much bigger on yours. The interesting thing is the tabs are the same size (maybe they are treated as graphics rather than plain text).
I've recently reinstalled XP so I've only made minor adjustments to the display settings. Do your settings differ much from mine:-
Display Theme - windows classic
Appearance
--> Windows and Buttons - windows classic
--> Font Size - tried all 3 settings, none affect the dvdrb display.

Try changing your font size from large/custom to normal. oh and what do you do to get the screen shot?

I've tried both with 120DPI (custom - larger than normal) and with 96DPI (windows default AKA "normal"). Same problem with both.
[Alt][printscreen] will copy the contents of the active window to the clipboard. Then it's a matter of pasting into (probably a new document).
Photoshop is smart enough that, if you have a graphical image on your clipboard when you create a new file, it will default to the characteristics (size, color depth) of the contents of the clipboard - so you can just paste in and don't have to crop.
No matter what graphics app you use, if you rescale a screen capture, treat it like line art (so next-neighbor, no anti-aliasing) if or it will be unreadable after you've resized it.
And... Gif works better than Jpg for this - but I wanted to keep the object size down...

Did Rockas' earlier suggestion of trying a default Windows Theme have any effect?
