I've been finding that I get different default/initial parameters used when I use the CLI and GUI respectively (1.4.0 RC5) ... for example the GUI chooses PC luma scale, but the CLI (with just -AIF, -OF) chooses TV scale. I've never changed any of these settings in the GUI...
... as I was writing this I guessed the cause of the problem; I ran the example CLI command from the docs, and it saved an .INI file somewhere. I did delete what I thought was the .INI file, but I must have got the wrong one... a search turned up .INI files in the following places:
1) C:\Documents and Settings\Username
2) Directory storing DGIndex.exe
3) Directory from which CLI DGIndex.exe is invoked
(I assume this is just because of different methods of invocation.) And when I deleted all of these the problem went away. I did also note a similar situation (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=591382#post591382) while searching for an answer.
I don't really want/need anything fixed/explained any more, but I thought I'd post this in case someone hit a similar problem.
