View Full Version : Demux by cell in VobEdit?

Clearly I'm doing something wrong as VobEdit is simply outputting another single VOB.

I open VobEdit.
- use the Open button to open a VOB file
- click the Demux button
- check the cell ID radio button only in the dialog box
- click OK
- select a directory for output ("..\demuxed" in my case)
- the only output filename I can select VTS_01_001.VOB has no "nnn"s in it
- click the Save button

And, indeed, there's only one VOB saved to my "demuxed" folder.

I'm probably missing something simple, but I can't figure out what it is.

Thanks!

PS: What I'm trying to do is (eventually) merge several episodes of an on-DVD TV series together. You know, the ones that say "to be continued" - and the second (and third) portions start with a logo, then a "what happened previously, then some important action, then a one minute "series title" (montage of action from previous shows, then finally the action itself. Oh - and all end in credits.
I can easily remove leading logo and trailing credits with DvdShrink, but it's looking like the best way to remove embedded video is with VobEdit. If I'm trying to use the "wrong tool for the job" and you know of something better, please tell me about it. Thanks for any input!

Have you tried using "Prev/Cut" within VobBlanker ?

I haven't used this particular function myself, but seen posts in the forum on it, and there is a guide on jsoto's page also.
