Hello

I was just wondering if DVD-RB took care of these settings for me at the start up of the program or prepare part.

“General recommendations:
· Disable the Anti Noise Filter (CCE-SP 2.50) and all filters in Quality Settings in CCE-SP 2.66/2.67; uncheck "Quality setting" in CCE-Basic. Play with the filters only if you think that the result could be improved when compared to the original. Note that the "Effect restricted vertical filter" in CCE-SP 2.66/2.67 replaces the "Anti Noise" filter in CCE-SP 2.50.
· for interlaced material, deactivate "Progressive frames" and "Zigzag scanning order" (CCE-SP 2.50), uncheck "Progressive Frame" and set Block Scanning Order to "Alternate" (CCE-SP 2.66/2.67/CCE-Basic). Choose opposite settings for progressive material."

It sure does. The generated ecl file fully specifies the encoding settings for each segment.

The appropriate settings for progressive and interlaced material are set based on how the original stream is flagged. A can of worms awaits ye who questions said functionality.

After the prepare stage, open one of the ecl files and see for your self what is set.

SHOUT: I can't wait to see the new interface!!! and to test interleaved authoring.... :)

p.s. Jack'n'xbox, if you look at the ecl, ignore the frame rate. There's a can of worms there too.
