Hi Moitah, hi folks

I would like to use MPEG4modifier, but I don't want to install the frame-network, which is needed to use MPEG4modifer. So I used mp4box to convert avis whis packed bitstream to avis without packed bitstream until now.

Yesterday I found a possible solution which perhabs makes it possible to use MPEG4modifier without installation of the frame network: When having a look at the programm "nlite" ( available here http://www.nliteos.com/ ) I saw, that the developer of nlite distributes a package which includes only those parts/dlls of the frame network which are really needed to make his programm work. The dlls included must only reside within the same directory the main programm resides, but they did not need to be registered by regsvr32.

Are there any chances that mpeg4modifier could be used and distributed the same way ?

Clever... and a nice idea!

But is installing Micro$oft .NET such a big problem really?

And no legality issues with this? M$ don't mind its .NET framework taken to pieces and redistributed? I took a quick look at the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Redistributable EULA (http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnnetdep/html/dotnetfxredisteula1_1.asp), but didn't find anything of significance. But even then, knowing M$, I highly doubt it. Even if they don't have a current rule against this, they might add one if they hear of this.

Last thing we want is M$ chasing down Moitah. I still remember the fuss DivX Networks created over DivXLight (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=74088) - the situation was similar.
