yes I know.....another post on how to combine the the two discs into one .avi :rolleyes:
I've looked at the other posts about Fotr and TTT, but i can't figure it out :stupid:
I've joined the two vobsets with vobedit, and where the two are joined there is a single black frame and then the sound is slightly delayed :(
I'm using GKnot. With it I tried to use the trim command but I can't get it to work, I've never tried to edit the avs before.... I'm sure i'm doing something wrong.
need advice plz...

I succesfully removed the black frame with this avs but the sound is still delayed......by the way, I forgot to mention this earlier, where the two vobsets are joined the audio is silenced.
Here's the .avs

The reason why I couldn't get it to work earlier was because I'd just been changing the comments. I figured that out when I checked the "remove comments" box.....haha not funny :rolleyes:
So now that the frame is gone how do I tinker with the sound?

Wouldnt it be better to use DGIndex to encode it as a single project? Since the problem seems to come from the joining of the vobs..

You could always make two AVI's and join them with AVIMux GUI...

I thought about making two avi's and then join them, but what if the quality of the two avi's aren't the same, there's no fun in that.

ok, I will try fiddling around with DGIndex and see what happens. thnx

Made one d2v project out of the two vobsets, and I got the same problem. Then I tried making a d2v project out of just the second vobset, and the audio was fine. Must be a problem with audio when the vobsets are joined, missing delay info or something.
I looked at DGIndex while it created the d2v, of the vobsets I joined with vobedit, and I noticed that when it comes to the part where the vobset is joined, then the audio timestamp starts at 0.00.00 again. That's also when the audio is begins being delayed.
Any more suggestions? plz

Ok after sufing the forums I decided to join the vobs with avisynth. I wrote this avs:
LoadPlugin("C:\programmer\autogk\DGMPGDec\DGDecode.dll")
first=mpeg2source("C:\test\disc1.d2v")
second=mpeg2source("C:\test\disc2.d2v")
first=wavsource("C:\test\disc1.wav")
second=wavsource("C:\test\disc2.wav")
unalignedsplice(first,second)
When I open it with Vdubmod an error occurs, it says "AviSource: could not locate video stream". This is the first time i'm playing around with avs, I don't know what I'm doing, and it's driving me mad. How can I get it to work?
