I understand there's a new version of Nero Digital available to us that works separately from NeroVision Express 3: -

From what I can see, it's available in three separate packages: -

Can you provide us with any additional information please, such as: -
Are the any limitations in the product, such as lack of 6Ch AAC-LC or HE encoding?
Is it possible for users who currently have Nero6 and NeroVision Express 3 installed to remove the afore mentioned and install NeroDigital CE instead?
Do the DirectShow filters offer the same level of flexibility with third party software players... or more?

Nero series of software is the most confusing ever. It is always a pain to figure out which one is to be used and when and for what.

I wonder if our serial numbers for Nero 6 Reloaded will work for these.

I installed the Recode CE and do not see any differences. It would be nice if Neo would actually implement the stitch option so a batch of files could be joined instead of encoded to their own file and also a way to apply a specific resolution to all files in a list instead of having to each file manually and disabling the resize.

But in principle you don't need Showtime at all, if you install the latest ffdshow (http://www.aziendeassociate.it/cd.asp?dir=/ffdshow) (and enable h.264 and aac decoding in ffdshow) and Haali Media Splitter (MatroskaSplitter) (http://haali.cs.msu.ru/mkv/). FFdshow shows ND subtitles somewhat strangely, but if you install the latest VSFilter (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=82303&package_id=84359), subtitles look ok. Hopefully ffdshow subtitle rendering will become better so you don't need even VSFilter anymore. That way you can have a free decoder and support for Nero Digital chapters,subtitles and multiple audio streams with any Dshow player.

Ateme provides the video coder for Nero Digital. The updated Ateme coder under beta testing will be included in Recode.

Yes but will they fix the problem with low audio. It's the only issue keeping me from using Nero Digital over AutoGK and Xvid. I've patched my copies with the reg code fix, and still fully Jacked up the audio is barely listenable. And using FFDShow to artificially boost the audio is not something I'm willing to accept as a fix

CheersIf you have only the free trial installed in a clean machine, you can't use multichannel, because it needs a multichannel plugin. I suppose this will be included in the commercial pro version.
I don't think it makes sense to remove NVE package and install trial NeroDigital instead. Probably would make more sense when the pro versions becomes available.

Imo there's not anymore a bad problem like before, but I admit some people may want even higher volume. I believe we will address this in the future.

Especially since I listen to alot of my Encodes with Headphones on my laptop. Compared to Xvid encodes the audio is really really soft.
