hey dude, first you should be carefull with cross postings, this could mean trouble and second please specify your problem in more detail. Dizmon gave you links to all the awnsers you seek, the doom9 DVD-backup guides provide an excellent and easy to understand help for this matter. Read them and then come back and post your questions.
Btw I would recommend you the last 2 links dizmon posted, the newbie and divx-encoding ones. I doubt that you find here a more simpler explaination for "how to convert a dvd into good quality divx"
Good luck ;)

khushalbhadra, it has never been as easy as today, so there is no cause to panic. The answer for you is simply:
AutoGK (http://www.doom9.org/autogk.htm)
So there.

All of your answers are in this thread, so like Teege said, don't get stalled out if they don't jump out and smack you in the face. Get your software, get a guide and go to work. If you get stuck, post all the pertinent details and wrap your request up in a new thread, either here, or in the AGK forum.
Don't wedge a question into multiple threads just because they have "DivX", or "AGK", etc., in the title; even in the Newbies Forum where we try to be very flexible with the rules, you only get to do this.....once. :) Good luck.
