Latsilva coded a program to create ECL-Files. You can use it to create ECLs for CCE or the new encoder AUTOQMATEnc (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=96602) by SAPSTAR.

I have make a test Eclcreate01b (Templates Set DVD properties) +
with CCE 2.67.00.23 +
- Time code 0 00 00 00 00
- GOP sequence M=3 / NM=4
- Add sequence end code / DVD Video complian .

The synchronization doesn't pose a problem..
the KVCD matrix brings a more meaningful on the micro details.

BVCD is a Matrix for the BVCDs. Its like KVCD in a other way. There are some "standards" in the net. KVCD, MVCD, AVCD, BVCD, CyVCD (Which was mine), PVCD etc. I think latsiva created BVCD. Ask him for it ...

Hi. I just got DVD-RB Pro, installed AutoQMatEnc (I don't have CCE of any type or ECLCCE installer). But for the life of me I don't understand how to use ECLCreate or what to input in it's fields. All this encoding is new to me as of today. I've always editted my backups using either DVDReMakePro, DVDShrink or VobBlanker. Never bothered encoding or transcoding. I could use a little help. Any guide on ECLCreate around anywhere? Thx in advance.

Here the basics:

First open a AVS-File. EclStart automatically fills the other edits. If You want to change some doit.

The next will be the Matrix-Box. There You can choose the matrix You want. For what it is You can read this (http://www.cmlab.csie.ntu.edu.tw/cml/dsp/training/coding/mpeg1/).
For the short: A matrix is used to define the quantization steps.

Then we have the mode-box. You can choose QFactor (1 Pass) or Multipass.
QMatOPT is only for the AutoQMATEnc. EclCreate uses the ECL 2.67-Standart, so this value is out of the standart. Mark it only if You use AQM.

Interlaced You can check if You have a interlaced source which you can find most in the NTSC-Standart. Pulldown is for 23.97 FPS Sources.

Now we come to the Settings-box:

Aspectratio definies the ratio of the picture. Most DVDs are 16:9.
With MIN/MAX Bitrate you set in CCE or AQM the ranges. The encoder will use the bitrate between the values.

For NTSC You use GOP 15, for PAL it will be 12.

Multipass VBR-Settings are only for the Multipass. If You choosed Multipass in the Mode-Box then You can definie the avg bitrate and the passes You will use to encode Your movie.

If You choosed QFactor instead You can setup the Factor You want to use.

Since AQM 0.24B You can use OPV. Take a look at AutoQ2.

Don't you use a GOP of 15 at PAL-material for DVDs?

A 12 Gop is a the better Gop for any fps, means for best Quality IF enough Bitrate is available.

Usual: PAL = 15 and NTSC = 18

That is DVD compliant.

which the maximum value of GOP that it supports? (AutoQMatEnc)

this is equal to the same CCE the maximum is 15?

if it to support another value of gop is alone to speak that I place in the next version ;)

Hmmm frankly I never tried higher than 15, but I know that 18 is a supported value for the DVD specs...so yo can give a try and let me know ! Wink In fact, I didn't code a limit so.....

i tryed some encode with eclcreate 05b with 2.67.xx and 2.70.xx (so without specifing cce version) and i haven't got error.

is this parameter (cce version) always needed ? or could be missing ?

the standard is for creating the archive in the format 2.6x it is a little different of the format 2.7x, the format 2.7x has more configurations is some old configurations had been changed. if it will be for the command line if not to choose nothing is 2.6x selected
