I remember seeing this asked a while ago but cant seem to find the thread now.
I’d like to re-author/add the “deleted scenes” back into my movie where they belong.
I’m new to this, what ‘simple’ tools do I need?

what's your target medium
DVD, xvid, ...?

thanks cogar, looks like I’ve got some studding and experimenting to do now.
My collection has grown slowly and now have several with deleted scenes in the extras menu that I’d like to add back in.

e-male, the target would ultimately be a DVD. I’d rather keep my store-bought disks safe in the cabinet and let the kids scratch up the backups.

seems like you already got a thread to read

i could give soem simple instructtions, but that method would allwo ne subs and only owrk if the deleted scenes have the same audio/video format as the movie
if not it would take some more explaining, which likely is already happening in the other thread

I'm sure this has been asked several times.
I've been lurking around here for a while, made several searches and found a few threads posted 2-3 years ago.
Though I have learned a lot, like how much I don't know but
Has anyone got a method perfected using the utilities now available to cut and splice in short scenes?

guzzibagger--Your thread of today mirrors the request that was still open from back in the summer; I've merged the two of them. I know you haven't gotten a magic bullet, yet, but tell us a bit about what you've tried, and the results you've gotten.

Sorry to bother, I remember asking before but couldn't find it when searching lately.
don't have a lot of online time to do thorough enough search. Thanks for pointing it out to me.

There's lots of little semi-hidden features in the Forum's software. If you want to find a thread that you know you've participated in, click on your name in any of the posts you've made to this thread and take a look at the options you're given. One of them will allow you to locate all the threads you've posted to; by clicking on one of these, you'll be redirected to the specific thread it belongs to.

You can also hit the "Search" button at the top of any forum page and search out posts made by yourself or a member that you remember giving solid advice that you can't find quickly. Try *Search > Advanced Search* and use the *Member name* field to search these out.

The Search function is your most valuable tool, whether here in Doom9's Forum, or out on the WWW; I don't know what I'd do without it. Probably go crazier than I am right now. :)
