Recetly we can easily compress motion menu to still one by MenuEdit and VobBlanker.
Sometimes I want to exchange original image to one which is deleted text of blanked extras.
I usually use DVDStyler to recreate still menu from BMP file.
I found three ways(softs) converting to VOB from BMP, and compared these.
(1)DVDStyler
(2)DVDShrink(use its Still-Image function)
(3)Muxman
I've got files outputed from each processed VOB file,
..BMP files exported as still image (by DvdReMakePro).
..m2v files demuxed (by VobEdit).
These files are in compare menu_quality (http://briefcase.yahoo.co.jp/bc/jinjin_brief/lst?.dir=/compare+menu_quality&.order=&.view=l&.src=bc&.done=http%3a//briefcase.yahoo.co.jp/bc/jinjin_brief/lst%3f%26.dir=/compare%2bmenu_quality%26.src=bc%26.view=l).
My impression is that (1)DVDStyler is worse than others, and that (2)DVDShrink and (3)Muxman are almost same (I like rather (2)DVDShrink).
About DVDStyler of recent version (after ver.1.31(2005/4/19)) which has the function of setting of bitrate, my impression was not change.
And I compared about each size of m2v file, and bitrate(max and average examined by Rempeg).
There seemed to be any relations to the quality.

(1)DVDStyler : 38KB.....7,500,000 / 9,330,000
(2)DVDShrink : 61KB.....9,801,600 /14,940,000
(3)Muxman : 124KB.....4,587,200 /30,270,000
(4)DVDStyler(set_14000) : 46KB.....14,000,000 /11,220,000
(But in above it is strange max.bitrate < avg.bitrate of DVDStyler.)
[add] When compare stii image, I think PhotoMimau (http://soft.nakaj.gozaru.jp/freeimg.html)(latest is ver.0.96) is useful, and it is free soft, but language is Japanese.
Its feature is,
The image viewer which can do four displays.
It displays BMP, a JPEG file in the folder by the thumbnail when choosing a folder from the folder tree.
There are four kinds of view modes.
1.The main window view
2.The slide view / one, two, four and the screen can be divided and more than one file in the identical folder can be seen at the same time.
3.It displays a file list in the file list view / on the left side.
4.The full-screen view
There is feature such as lumping-together change of the slide show, the loupe, the image connection, BMP, the JPEG.
The slide show can be done to the choice image, too, and it is possible to do a random replay, too.
As for the loupe feature, it displays the neighborhood of the mouse in the expansion.
There are heart of, stellar types 10 kinds of forms of the loupe window and so on.
" Loupe screen save ", save " which connects more than one image which arranged " and so on are possible.
By the way 'PhotoMimasu' as Japanese is translated to 'Watch Photo'.
