Are you trying to make a DVD playable on a standalone player? I'm unfamliar with "dvdx" and what it's used for, but I use CloneDVD. You will need to copy the entire disc to the hard drive in file mode, but it's step-by-step and very intuitive.

AGK can certainly extract and build AVI files from Program Chains (PGCs) decrypted from IFO-parsed DVDs. Its what it was designed to do. It does not build menu structures to simulate DVD menuing capability, since AVI can't support such structures. DivX networks has recently added limited menu and stream management capabilities to a container based on AVI, but the toolset is not yet complete.
To use DVD with AutoGK, use DVD Decrypter in IFO mode, not in File mode.
For more on ".ifo and all those things" see http://www.doom9.org/dvd-structure.htm

Let's quote the man correctly, now. It's .ifo and all that stuff .
jfoster1234 may have a point if he originally (incorrectly) decrypted in File Mode. Even moving the appropriate IFO and the associated vobs to a new folder didn't work for me. So, he should go back and rerip in IFO Mode, or build an image of the whole thing (using Image Tool Classic, or some such), open it with Daemon Tools, and Decrypt that in IFO Mode.
If what he wants to encode is only a single Vob file, he can use AutoGK with its File Input Option.

It's kind of outdated, but Vidomi will do that - it takes the .ifo files and loads all the related .vob's. It has all the auto-crop, auto resize, etc. It's at least as good quality as AutoGK.
