Quants: from 1 to 5 or frrom 2 to 4?

While encoding a DVD to XviD which quants provide better PSNR:

* Min Quant: 1 (for iframes) Max Quant: 5 (for Bframes)

* Min Quant: 2 (for iframes) Max Quant: 4 (for bframes)

Shouldn't you ask which one provides better picture quality, not PSNR? After all you are human, not a computer. :)

Hints: Quant=1 is a terrible waste which only is there to prevent undersizing that some people get who choose too-low video resolutions. A too-low max. quantizer on the other hand will result in oversizing.

I guessed I wasnt able to realize any differences with so low quants. I just wanted to know precisely with PSNR. :)
