Hi,

I need to "draw a line" into a MPEG, so that the line lasts for example for 10 seconds. I need this to express a "offside position" in a soccer movie. Does anyone know a small tool for doing that? Working with an overlayed image does not the trick, as I have to modify a _lot_ of movies by that.

thx

Adobe After Effects 6.5 Professional will do it. There is a free 30 day trial, but I'm not sure if it is limited or will leave a watermark. You could try it.

Another solution is the Video Paint program included in Ulead MediaStudio Pro which should be able to do it. Unfortunately, there is no trial version so you can't see if it will work.

I can't think of a small freeware program that can do this except AviSynth, which as you say, the overlay would be a lot of work if you have a lot of clips or segments where you want to add the line.

Thanks Video Dude, I will try both (if I also can get the ULead MediaStudio somewhere for testing ...)
