I have about 140 minutes of video I need to squeeze on a single layer DVD so I want to save bitrate whereever I can. ;)

The audio and the commentary track of the source are in simple stereo. Is it okay to use AC3 audio for a low bitrate as 128kbit and 96kbit or do I should I spend more bitrate and use MP2 audio?
