AutoGK produces an avi file with a MPEG-4 codec. How do you convert the file to an MPEG-2 codec that can be edited by Adobe Premiere or Sonic's MyDVD?

Ignoring the fact that you've hijacked someone else's post for your help, VOB files are already MPEG-2. Adobe Premiere with the MPEG-2 plugin will edit them directly from the DVD rip - all you may need to do is change the extension to .mpg.

Thread split.

grif--CWR03 is correct. Don't be afraid to post your issue by itself. As l long as the topic is not so far out there as to be ridiculous, or violates one of our Forum Rules, you'll get help.

CW's advice should get you going, if not, post back here.

[Edit] Geez, you not only hijacked another thread, you also cross-posted. Anyone that wants to take a look or offer up anything further can visit the original request here http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=95844, there was better info in the original, anyway.
