bug: invalid ac3 audio output on mp3 input

Hi

I tried to convert an avi file (3ivx video, vbr mp3 audio) to dvd/mpeg2 with dvd2svcd. The video is handled correctly, but the audio results in some garbled ac3 as VirtualDubMod states in the info:
Format: 48KHz stereo, 80Kbps AC-3
# of Frames: 5
Total size: 2K

I think the problem is when converting the audio from wav to mp2:
The encoded audio file is the same as the original .wav file

Can you help me fix this problem?

I can't see any way in which DVD2SVCD can start with an MP3 file and end up with an AC3 file :confused:
