Question bout Divx6 [Archive]

With the introduction of DivX Creator does that mean Dr.Divx will be useless?

Also does Dr. Divx currently support divx 6.0 and will current DIVX players such as the Philips DVP-642 support all the new features of Divx 6.0. Or will a new firmware upgrade have to be created? Or a new hardware.

Dr DivX will not be useless. You can install the DivX 6 Create Bundle over Dr DivX, which will give you Dr DivX, DivX Converter, the DivX 6 codec, DivX Player, and playback support for DivX media files with advanced media features.

Dr DivX does not use the new DivX 6 codec.

Thanks for your time... i guess i will be using Divx converter because it seems to be easy to use :P
