I do not have my notes on PGCEdit in front of me now...is it possible to change chapter points? i.e. say you have one at 5 mins but it should be 6:32?

thanks

99.99% certain it's a no.

However if the start of the cell is exactly on 6:32 then you can assign it as the desired start of the chapter. How? Just by clicking on the program button when you access the pgceditor of the title file.

If you still insist on specific start points then you must author again with DVDstyler or DVDauthorGUI. Inserting all the desired start times. When finished use PgcEdit to create a NEW DVD, import VTS titles then finally import back your original menu.

Right. A chapter must begin at the entry point of a cell. You cannot change that without reauthoring the video, and that is not a job for PgcEdit.

DVDRMP can do what you want - but it is a commercial product.

As for the PgcEdit chapter table, it is discussed in the user manual. :)

If some restriction permitted, there is a interesting software that can change chapter point.
It is 'ChapterEdit (http://www2.mnx.jp/~dle871/free.htm)' (freeware) released newly last month.

It can change chapter point in three ways.
(1)Create new chapter point and delete original one.Possible to select the point from interface list of approximate 0.5 sec unit with previewing.
(2)Newly create chapter point at constant interval which is setted from 30 to 600 sec.
(3)Add or create all newly chapter point by preparing the file(CHPLIST.TXT) written the time .

I tried (2) and (3) before, the result was good.
By seeing IFO, Vob-ID doesn't change, and Cell-ID is newly created(added) after at new chapter point.

But it has some restriction like below.
-Japanese language only. (maybe)
-PAL not supported.(maybe)
-Sourse must be 1 title.
-Source must not be multiangle nor interleave.
-Original menu and FirstPlay have been removed.(FirstPlay becomes 'Jump to Tile:1')

Yeah, great idea!
Pitty: on an english system, the buttons and menus are filled with squares. Difficult to understand how to use the program.
But, IMHO, it's not too difficult to write a similar application in english. Someone is interested? (Not me, I have too many work with PgcEdit!)

It was seemed to me to have not been announced aggressively.
Someone which released it have been released 'QuickDVD' before.
It is very famous software in Japan at least, but have been stopped its distribution several years, instead now Light-version is released which crrespond to only the one which is made or recorded by myself (not sell nor rental).

Its related software is interesting.
- Quick DVD: edit(cut, bind, chapter) from VOB reading IFO. edit by 0.5 sec unit. take over data from original IFO, multi-VTS(1 title), import and bind menu, convert to VOB from VRO.
-Quick DVD Multi: modified QuickDVD,1-VTS,multi-title.
-Split DVD: blank cell, split 2 DVD, restore to 1 DVD,corresponding to multiangle , (I think the almost oldest software has this function.)
-Bind DVD: bind DVD from max 5.
-Sound DVD Plus: create DVD form WAV, create WAV from DVD (44.8<->48kHz).
Above are not released now. (supported to only registed users)
Light version of those that is released now but feature is limited. (need to regist)
-Quick DVD Light
-Sound DVD Light
-VRO2VOB Light
Other DVD tools whose name is expressing function.(need to regist)
-Title Mapper
-Bind DVD
-Aspect Tool
-TimeMap Tool
-UOP Control
-Divide VOB
And freeware
-Chapter Edit =====posted in this thread
-VM_DUMP

Sorry to different from the first thread.

Thanks a bunch for that! It's true that the UI makes it almost impossible to use for us! But translating a UI is much much easier than rewriting the whole app!

@r0lZ, I thought of writing a chapter editing app, but it would make much more sense if that was part of vobblanker. Vobblanker is the ideal place for it. We'll just have to wait for jsoto to get around to it, probably after it starts raining in Spain and he can't bike any more! ;)

jeanlFor sure, you will have to wait some month, then!

I think a standalone app may be useful, in particular because it is theorically not needed to copy the VOBs. Patching them, and the IFOs, is probably sufficient.
