vob with mpeg-1 streams

i have a vob file with mpeg-1 audio and video streams. i got the vob file using dvddecrypter in ifo mode. i usually then take autogk to turn the file into a divx file that i can then edit, but autogk gives me an error that "mpeg-1 is not supported". so i don't know where to go from here. how do i get this vob file to something i can edit? i appreciate any help i can get on this. thanx.

i'll add that i originally had an iso file on a dvd to start with. i used roxio 7.5's dvd copier to burn it to a dvd with video_ts directory, which i then ran thru dvddecrypter. i have done this method countless times, but never have run into this problem.
