2.09 issue for Philips DVP642 (not in 1.95)

Just created some Xvids of season 1 of 24 after upgrading to 2.09 beta, and was surprised that most of the resulting files not only exhibited the color inversion problem on my Philips DVP642 but also some odd blockiness/tiling after I got the colors right. I re-encoded the same files with 1.95 and didn't get the problem. Any tips?

did you enable ESS support?

I did with the 1.95 install, but I don't believe I was prompted with any similar checkbox when I kicked it up to 2.09. I'll redo the whole thing and check, however. Thx

it's in the advanced options in 2.09

you have to hit ctrl F9 and the option should be down in the right corner
