Placeing a still image into avi file_Using Premier Pro1.5

I'm trying to place a still image into a movie, however the resolution of the image turn out bad.
Basicaly, I've tried to place an Powerpoit picture into the movie, showing the lecture slide. I've capture Powerpoit picture as a JPG and inserted to the avi segment.
Is there any other way to do this?

To adjust the size of the image in Premiere Pro just double click on the clip in the timeline, then go to the effects tab in the source window and resize the picture (I'm not sure if it's called "resize" in the English version, maybe it's called "scale").
The aspect ratio stays the same unless you unlock the ratio.
On the computer screeen it will look slightly stretched (like all DV footage) because of the square pixels on the monitor but on a tv it will look all right.
