There comes all the time new technologies and latest videos in mkv -container are getting more and more difficult to transcode into traditional Avi-format that the can be playbacked with normal Mpeg4- Dvd-players.

I would like to ask for a good utility that can transcode (multi-channel) aac-format to Ac3, so that it can be attached into Avi-file. I haven't found that yet, because BeSweet (v.1.5) gave following error report.

The file that I tried to transcode, can be downloaded from here, so if you please, you can try to transcode it.

Looks as if your AAC stream is not entirely kosher. BeSweet is one of the best programs for the job.

No, BeSweet itself does not contain an AAC decoder.

AACMachine (http://besweet.notrace.dk/AacMachinev0.52.zip) uses Besweet, AacEnc and Besplit to do the job. Shirai can read how (http://www.doom9.org/AacMachine.htm) to do that.

indeed, so its not possible to make an aac -> ac3 conversion in besweet only
