Hello

I had started a project with Premiere 6 long time ago and didn't continue as I wasn't happy with the titles. Now I did the titles with Premiere's Pro Titler which is much better. I exported the titles as AVIs to import in Premiere 6 but I encountered 2 problems.

1. If the title is a still, a full screen grey picture is viewed. This problem is not viewable when the avi is played with media player or within Premiere Pro. It's only in Premiere 6. Anyone knows the problem?

2. I need to superimpose the avi which leaves only the title visible and the black background is replaced by the underneath avi file. Is it possible?

I know I could export the Premiere 6 project and import it in Pro but that would take a lot of time cause there are many titles and set to specific timings. I wish to avoid this. Any other help would be much appreciated.

I manage to solve problem number 2, so gonna post it here as it might help someone else. I added a transparency effect, selected key RGB difference and choose the colour black. That's it. On second thoughts, it was quite easy but sometimes the mind locks!

Re problem number 1, I have a solution. I can redo the still titles as jpg. However I would still like to know what's the problem. It might be useful in the future. So if anyone has an idea, please let me know.

Doogs, thanks for your reply. I will check the forum you suggested as well.

To correct my previous post, I used the Screen or Luminance key cause RGB Difference works fine with stills but not with AVIs.
