View Full Version : HD DVD backup?

I've got Island Fever 3 and I can't figure out how to back the thing up. It's an HD DVD and the video is in WMV format (4.5 gigs). None of my ripping tools want to work with it. When I use disc tools (or Windows Explorer) to try and copy the file to my hard drive, all I get is a 3xx megabyte file. That's what shows up in the disc tools, a 3xx meg file...weird.
Anyways, any advice?

Can you figure out what protection does it use? Since hd-dvd is relatively new,
there might be no tools yet, but some workaround could exist.

HD-DVD isn't here yet. This is a high def video, but not an HD-DVD. The protection is M$ DRM. Try it on a pre XP Windows, or Linux.
