Hi, 1st post, and I want to say i know some basics of burning, but moving from cds to dvd-videos is just killer for me...

well ive got avi's that i wanted to burn, and I used DVDSanta, just because it was the most readily available option to me at the time, and converted them to vob, bup, and ifo files so they can be burned. I used ImageStyler to make a menu, which seems to work fine, and got everything working, although i couldnt fit nearly as much on as i could without the menu.

Problems i have though, are that once you finish a video, the dvd stops instead of returning to the menu. I didnt think about that beforehand, and Im not sure how to set that up either. Sometimes, the video(s) are missing audio, or video. On the first trial dvd i made, one of them was without video, and the second had around 5 or 6 without video :/. Lastly, the menus have a sort of green static-like effect radiating from the top and bottom on the screen, but the videos themselves dont.

The DVDs actually work fine on my computer and as image files, but on my ps2 and tv dvd player, they have problems like the green menu, or no menu at all. I may have come across it a while ago, but cant remember... a problem with codecs or something?

Use Guides (http://www.doom9.org/guides.htm) and Softwares (http://www.doom9.org/software.htm) from this site. Don't kill yourself for the sake of CD > DVD matters. Take heart.
