Simply DVD to AVI

Ok...I want to do something that seems very simple, but for some reason I keep getting stuck. I just want to take a DVD and use DVD Decrypter to get the vob file etc etc. Then use DVD2AVI to change it to an AVI. I'm obviously not very knowledgeable about this subject, but I know enough to get up to the point where I get an AVI file with no sound and then the ac3 file. Is there any simple way I can use just these 2 programs to decrypt the dvd, then just press go and it will give me one file, sound and all? And if not, what's the simplest way of doing this?

I don't want to sound rude but if you don't even know how to mux video and audio together I doubt you are able to output video anywhere close to AutoGK quality wise

Could you please elaborate on what's the problem with more than 2 programs since the benefits of using AutoGK (automatic dvd-to-avi conversion with optimized quality) are IMHO very well worth it?

just use virtual dub to merge the stuff back again

really, i dont think its worth to spend too much time on things like that, if its cumbersome - well yeah, does it make the job? well, yeah it does. so go with it :)

I also suggest you ARCalculator but it give you the same programs of AutoGK. Nowaday 99% of converting tools DVD-AVI use tha same programs.

Have you ever tried WinAVI Video Converter? It can do this job. I've used it for about a year, and never experienced any problems!

Help me how to convert a dvd into good quality divx.....see first I have a dvd of a movie for example and how should I start how to copy those file on to your hdd and then make it into good quality Divx or Xvid....

Acctually help me out using any software just what should I do.....See in the dvd u have Vob files how to make a Divx....there are several vob files which will individually convert those vob file Eg:-In a dvd u have 3 vob files it will make 3 individual divx files.....how could u make a single avi file divx....
help me out with the process and software just tell me the output settings I need to know???

If you need a easy way, you can use ****** , it can rip dvd to avi directly then merge sevaral charpters into one file, that's very convenient, you can free download it from its official site:
