View Full Version : Can't Scenarist have two subtitles tracks with the same language?

Hi,

I have a Scenarist project with 5 subtitles track, English, Italian, German and two Spanish. When I drag the track into the Scenario editor there are only 4 streams, I lose one of the spanish. If i rename one of the two with "Maltese" language for instance, then I have the five.

Can't two tracks have the same language? Can't I name them Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 for instance?

Thanks in advance

where are you seeing you only have 4?

yes you can have 2 w/ the same language (not that uncommon to have 2 english for example)

Make sure they all have display mode(s) selected.

Well, I guess the solution is easy but I can't find it for the moment.

If I select the track on the Scenario editor and open the Subpicture Attribute folder I only see four tracks: Subpicture Attribute # 0, #1, #2 and #3.

Then if I open the first folder, Subpicture Attribute #0, I see I can choose for wide and letterboxed the five tracks 0 Spanish, 1 Spanish, 2 Italian, 3 English, 4 German, but I only have four Attribute folders to choose five streams.

Where can I select that display mode? I guess that may be the cause of the problem.

Make sure in the scenario you set the title folder for that vts for the sub attribute to 'custom' ... the adjust to max option consolodates things .. you also may want to go into the pgc tab (one level below the title folder) and double click the subpicture attributes there and make sure the mode/language is set properly for each stream (there should be 5 for you now)..

Thanks a lot. I've just selected "custom" for the sub attribute and that's it, I have now the five folders.
