Hi,

I have a slight gap between the audio and the video ; is there a way to move forward the video a few seconds ahead of the sound with Scenarist ?

:thanks:

do you mean the audio synch is off?

It is possible to have the audio start x (video) frames later than the video, but I can't remember how exactly :o "Start time to video" maybe.

You can use AC3 Delay corrector or delaycut to add silence to the start of the audio file, in 32 ms increments. Personally I'd take that route.

Thanks for your answers guys ... in fact, i have 5 avi files that i convert to dvds ; i extract the video (m2v) and the sound (ac3). Then i create 5 titles with Scenarist (one for each avi) and add some subtitles.

All the videos are fine except 1 where the sound is not synchronised with the video.

Might try AC3 Delay corrector or delaycut if i can't do it with Scenarist ... can i find them on the web ... freeware .... shareware

:thanks:

Both those tools are free and I'm sure one or both are hosted on doom9.org. Or just use google ;)

Assuming the avi is in sync, to avoid the trial and error of resyncing, AVIMux GUI (also free) will tell you the audio delay in the avi (in milliseconds).
